Spelling - Unit 10 spelling words this week - Students will have spelling
sentences due on Tuesday.
Reading - Students should be reading 20 minutes nightly. We are reading
Stone Fox and James and the Giant Peach for the next few weeks. This week,
we will focus on point of view, character attributes, and comprehension.
social studies - The next few weeks will be spent learning about the
Pilgrims. This week we focus on their community at Plymouth Rock.
Characteristics of communities will be fully discussed.
science - Our study of plants will continue this week. Students will be
finishing their seed experiments and then moving into seed germination.
handwriting - We are currently learning the proper curves in cursive
handwriting.
ELA - possesive nouns will be discussed.
