AP Exam Info & Schedule

The cost for 2013 AP exams is $89 per exam. Students who are currently eligible for free/reduced lunch receive a fee reduction from College Board and MHS resulting in an exam fee of $53. At the moment NYS and the Federal government have not confirmed funding for this year. If and when they do so we will notify students of any change to the free/reduced lunch fee.


**AP Exams for the 2012-13 school year will be given the weeks of
May 6th and May 13th, 2013**

AP Registration forms and the AP Bulletin for Students and Parents have been distributed for the 2013 AP exam testing period. A copy of the Registration memo and registration form is on this website under the CIC heading. See Mrs. Lauri for a copy of the AP Bulletin if you did not get one.

All students who are taking AP Exams in May 2013 must complete a registration process in preparation for testing. Your responsibilities are outlined below:

  1. Be aware of your testing dates and times
  2. Read the AP Bulletin and have your parents read the AP bulletin
  3. Complete the registration form (one form per student) and submit required payment
  4. Complete pre-test answer sheet preparation--date and time TBA
  5. Show up on time and prepared on the exam date

Monticello High School is currently planning to administer the following AP Exams at the following times:

Chemistry Monday, May 6th 8:00 am
Spanish Language Tuesday, May 7th 8:00 am
Calculus AB Wednesday, May 8th 8:00 am
English Literature and Composition Thursday, May 9th 8:00 am
Studio Art Friday, May 10th 12:00 pm
Music Theory Monday, May 13th 8:00 am
Biology Monday, May 13th 8:00 am
Human Geography Friday, May 17th 8:00 am

AP Bulletin


Those students in designated AP courses received a copy of the AP Bulletin with their registration form. Students and parents need to read it. Students will be asked to sign a statement on the registration form and their AP answer sheet about reading the bulletin. This bulletin contains important information about exam policies and scores. It is the student's responsibility to be aware of and abide by all testing policies outlined in the bulletin.


Please review pages 5 and 6 in the AP Bulletin for Students and Parents (which students were given during registration) regarding test security and test administration procedures! Failure to follow these rules could result in your score, or potentially everyone in the room's score, being cancelled!

Bring to exam:

v Several sharpened No. 2 pencils with erasers

v Pens with black or dark blue ink-no gel pens!

v A watch

v Your Social Security number if you intend to list it on your answer sheet. This is optional.

v If applicable your SSD Student Accommodation letter which verifies you have been approved for a testing accommodation.

DO NOT BRING

v Cell phones, digital cameras, PDAs, Blackberry smartphones, Bluetooth enabled devices, mp3 players, e-mail/messaging devices or any other electronic or communication devices.

v Books, compasses, mechanical pencils, correction fluid, dictionaries, highlighters, notes or colored pencils.

v Scratch paper (notes can be made on portions of the exam booklets)

v Watches that beep or have an alarm

v Portable listening devices or portable recording devices or photographic equipment

v Computers

v Clothing with subject related information

v Food or drink
