HOW TO SURVIVE MRS. SCHOMBS' ELA CLASS
Adhere to the following classroom rules, the Monticello School Code of
Conduct, and the student handbook. Please be sure to note the school
attendance policy.
1)Abide by the four "B's"
-Be on time
-Be awake and alert
-Be ready to learn
-Be prepared (writing utensil, notebook, and folder/binder)
2)Follow the daily routine:
a. Come right to the classroom
b. Hand in homework, if applicable.
c. Without socializing, begin bell ringer (while attendance is taken).
d. Sit quietly if you finish before I am ready to begin the lesson.
3)Be accountable for your education.
-Ask for help
-Complete assignments (in-class and homework).
**Late assignments: 10 points off per day
4)Cheating and plagerism will not be tolerated. If caught, the student is
subject not only to classroom penalties (i.e.zeroes), but also those dictated
by the school.
**ALL STUDENTS must follow the following GUIDELNES to foster a respectful
climate conducive to learning. We are a classroom community!
+ I will be Respectful and Responsible at all times.
+ I will do nothing to prevent the teacher from teaching and
anyone, myself included, from participating in educational endeavors.
+ I will respect all others and myself.
