Evaluation

All 3 of the worksheets should be completed by time you finish Role 4. Also 
the paragraph and Questions/Answers assignments should be completed. If 
given, the Sequencing Cards should also be completed. Below is the Scoring 
Rubric.


Butterfly Life Cycle Worksheet:
Each of the four stages should be labeled correctly. Each stage is worth 5 
points. This worksheet has a maximum grade of 20 points.

Butterfly Anatomy Worksheet:
There are nine parts of the anatomy. Each part is worth 3 points. This 
worksheet has a maximum grade of 27 points.

Caterpillar Anatomy Worksheet:
There are nine parts of the anatomy. Each part is worth 3 points. This 
worksheet has a maximum grade of 30 points.

Questions and Answers about Butterflies.
There are a total of 5 questions that the students should have written down 
about the Life Cycle of a Butterfly. Each question should have the 
appropriate answer. The students also should have written down at least 5 
more questions and answers from the web page. Each question/answer is worth 
5 points for a total of 50 points for this assignment. Students who wrote 
more then the expected 10 will receive an extra 2 points for each 
question/answer given. 

Short Paragraph Describing a Stage of the Life Cycle:
Each student should have written at least five sentences about one stage. 
The 
sentences should be complete and include appropriate butterfly life cycle 
vocabulary. This paragraph is worth 23 points. Incorrect grammar, spelling, 
description or use of vocabulary will result in a point deduction.  Lack of 
vocabulary will also result is point deduction.

Participation and Cooperative Learning:
Students should be working together on the webquest. Although, students 
should have their own sets of worksheets and assignments completed. The 
students should accept each others opinions and one partner should not be 
doing all the work while the other students copies the work. Equality, 
Respect, and Cooperation is being looked at for the participation grade. A 
total of 50 points will be given for this grade. 

The total points for the webquest is 200 points. Students may receive more 
then 200 if extra credit was done.
