The team will submit a final report that will reflect the contributions of each of the members. The team will,
working together, answer the following questions, to be reported on in both written format and presentation
format; what prior civilizations or peoples influenced the development of the selected civilization? Use the
information you have gathered to support-prove your hypothesis. Second, what later civilization or peoples were
effected or influenced, in your opinion, by your selected civilization?
The report will be presented to the review committee (the class) in both a written form and in a brief (15-20
minute) Powerpoint presentation. The team will assign roles to each of the members and each one
will accomplish the following:
1. The HISTORIAN will examine the selected civilization and create a
timeline to be used by the team. The historian will include all important
events that occurred during the life of that civilization and write about
the events felt to be the most important; the impact of those events on the
civilization and other cultures of the time.
2. The ARCHEOLOGIST will create a map that will reflect the growth of that
civilization, the key cities and structures, and will write about those
cities and structures that were the most important. The archeologist will
also report on how people lived in that society.
3. The ART SPECIALIST will highlight the major artforms of the civilization
and select examples that are representative. This will also include
reporting on the entertainment aspects of the civilization, theater as well
as culinary.
4. The PHILOSOHY SPECIALIST will examine and report on the important
thinkers of the society as well as the structure and operation of the
government and any system of education that existed. This specialist will
also examine the civilizations religious beliefs.

3. Phoenician Civilization
4. Greek Civilization
5. Indus Valley Civilization
6. Chinese Civilization
7. Aztec Civilization
8. Roman Civilization
