What if my child is absent?

I will send home a copy of any paper work that we did in school
on that day. When your child completes it, send it in. There is
no hurry.

What can I do to help my child with school?

Please read with your child every day. Make reading fun.
Encourage them to try to point to words as you read, find a
particular letter in the words, and guess what might happen
next. If a word or words are repeated, have your child read
those ones. Praise both their attempts and their successes.

What is that stamp on my child's hand?

Each child will get a stamp at the end of each day if they have
had a good day. For small problems, they usually get three
chances (warnings) before they lose the stamp. For a bigger
problem, (hitting, pushing, kicking, calling names) they may lose
a stamp immediately.

Why is my child's morning work incomplete?

The students have a morning routine to go through each morning.
Morning work is part of that. If they have a job to do in the
morning, I am reviewing something with them,or they go to AIS,
they may not have time to finish it. It will be sent home to be
completed at home, but it does not need to be sent back in to
school.
