Frequently Asked Questions: This page contains answers to common questions of students and parents.
How much homework will my child have as a 4th grader?
I try to follow the formula of ten minutes of homework X grade level = forty minutes per night for 4th graders. However, some children will have less and some will have more according to abilities, materials, and other circumstances. If your child is either well below or well beyond that forty minutes, please contact me so we can discuss options to enrich or simplify as necessary. In addition to homework, I encourage all children to read at least 20-30 minutes per day (every day - weekends, holidays, birthdays too) as reading is a very natural part of life that I hope isn't perceived as "work" or "practice."Back to Top
