Jump Rope for Heart 2010

2010 Permission for JUMP ROPE FOR HEART

Dear Parents/Guardians:

We are pleased to announce that students in all grades will again have
the opportunity to take part in Jump Rope for Heart. This event, sponsored
by the American Heart Association, teaches children the importance of good
health habits while they are volunteering to help a community organization.

All students are busy learning basic jump rope skills and making posters for
this event. This exciting event will take place during your childs physical
education day on Feb. 10, 11, or 12 and 4th and 5th graders will get to stay
afterschool, with parent permission on Feb. 12, 2010 from 3:30-4:45 pm.

Each student will jump 2 minutes, rest 2 minutes, and then jump again.

With your permission, your child can collect pledges and also receive prizes.
Children should not collect pledges door to door. We encourage parents to
supervise the collection of pledges. It is preferred that students collect
their donations at the time they obtain the pledges. Checks must be made out
to the AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION and put in an enveloped labeled Jump Rope
for Heart, with your child's name and room number, returned to Mrs. Turpin-
Orgetas by, Februrary 12, 2010.

Over the last seventeen, Oak Grove students have collected a total of
$110,365 for the American Heart Association!

If you would like your child to participate in this special event, please
complete the attached form and have your child return it to Mrs. Turpin-
Orgetas. If you should have any questions about this year's Jump Rope for
Heart campaign, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Turpin-Orgetas at 298-
5280. Thank you for supporting this worthwhile project.

Sincerely,
