In Math we've started Topic 4 (Place Value). Practice counting groups of ten
at home. Count buttons, beans, pennies, pasta,etc. Have your child put the
items in groups of ten. Also the students will be practicing writing number
words in school and extra help at home would be beneficial.
In Science we are continuing with tools and measurement. There will be
several notes/assignments coming home. Please make sure your child is
prepared. We will also be having an in-house field trip next week on
hibernation and animal adaptations.
Watch for notes coming home regarding our 2nd grade Polar Express Pajama Day
and the making of gingerbread houses.
