This year we learn new spelling words each month. During the month, the
students do a variety of exercises to become familiar with each word's
meaning, use in a sentence, dictionary skills, and of course correct
spelling. The students will be tested on these words every Friday. At the
beginning of the month, the students will receive their new list of words.
The students have all their spelling work in their Spelling folder. They
will get a list to take home to study. This list may stay home. The students
will have another that they will keep in school. By the end of each month,
the students are expected to know and use the correct spelling of these
words. They will be responsible for using them correctly in their everyday
writing. Below are each month's word wall words.
May/June are Review months.
