Our Class Picnic

Dear Parents,
Our class picnic has been scheduled for Friday, June 5, from 12:30 to 2:00.
We will have the picnic rain or shine. All parents and grandparents are
invited to our picnic. Guests attending our picnic are asked to bring their
own lunches. Any parents or grandparents who are willing to chaperon a small
group of students during the picnic are asked to indicate this desire on the
form below.
The room parents are collecting a $4.00 donation from each child to cover the
cost of the McDonald’s lunch for each child at the picnic. Please send the
$4.00 donation (exact amount in cash, please) to school on or before Monday
June 1 in a sealed envelope marked with the notation “class picnic” and the
child’s name. The students will be given a choice of a hamburger, a
cheeseburger or a chicken nuggets lunch. Apple dippers or French fries will
be served with each lunch. Also, the room parents are collecting voluntary
donations of stickers, pencils and small containers of glue or paste to be
used at the picnic. Please send these donations to school on or before
Monday, June 1.
Some parents may want to make sure that their children wear sun block for the
picnic. Students may bring sun block to school for the picnic. The room
parents will help the students put on sun block. Due to district guidelines,
students may not share sun block.

The picnic is always my favorite day of the school year. I look forward to
having a great time with the students and their guests at our class picnic.
