All spelling tests will usually be on FRIDAY.  The children will receive a
new spelling list once a week on MONDAY.  The individual spelling assignments
will be done IN SCHOOL.  The spelling homework will be to STUDY for the tests
or the classwork if it is incomplete.  
   The spelling lists are based upon phonetic and grammatical rules.  The
children are expected to be able to spell all of these words correctly by the
end of the year.  After the week of studying and practicing these words, they
should be able to use them correctly in their writing and can be tested on
them any time.
