I have co-taught Inclusion Classes for 8 out of my 10 years as a Special
Education Teacher which have been primarily between the grades of 3-5. In
addition to Coteaching, I have taught a Language Based Class for 2 years. As
of this year, I am officially Wilson Level One Certified Teacher, a
Multisensory Reading Program to reach those students whom may not grasp
reading easily.
Best of all, my teaching assistant, Debbie Gruschow, and I have been working
together for 9 glorious years. We both aim to continue to use multisensory
instruction, an instruction to reach out to all levels of learning, across
the curriculums as we have in the past.
I have been happily married for 13 years. I have two wonderful active little
boys. Nathan is 6 years old and Jared is 4 years old. I will be
sending Nathan off to First Grade and running him around to join his First
Soccer Team this year. Jared will begin to enjoy being back at daycare with
his friends, and will begin bugging me about when is he will be starting to
play soccer.
Our family spends a lot of our recreational time enjoying the outdoors. We
take atleast two camping trips a year. One of them is usually to the Great
Sacandaga Lake- Northampton Campgrounds. I love to play many athletic sports
but competative volleyball and basketball are my passions!
