About The Teacher
My name is Carrie Ryan and I have lived in Quogue for most of my life. I love this community almost as much as I love teaching. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Literature and Professional Writing and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Long Island University. I have always been a proponent of hands-on learning as I have never been a conventional learner. It has always been my belief that a multi-sensory approach to any subject matter stands the best chance of reaching every student. With this in mind, I attempt to integrate varied experiences into my teaching. I take great pleasure from working with young children and watching their worlds unfold as their skills develop.

It is my goal to instill in my students a love of learning that will remain with them for their entire lives. In so doing, I hope to help them develop the foundations they need to be competent, confident learners. With these tools in hand, the sky is the limit!
