Welcome to the Quogue School

The Quogue School District's mission is to develop a collaborative process for decision making within the school and the community:

To develop literate, numerate, fit, civic-minded, social young students ingrained with a desire to learn, possessing good work habits with a well-developed understanding of right from wrong and the balance of duties and rights;

To prepare all students for lifelong learning and personal growth;

To actively involve all members of the school community in the life of our school.

We will strive to clarify directives for elementary education at the local level, and to make education relevant to students.

Principal's Message

Here we are at the halfway mark of the school year. We have been blessed with spring like weather and are looking forward to all of the exciting programs which are scheduled for the spring. Our PTA is planning our annual Staff Appreciation Day, Field Day, Chicken Dinner and Beach Day.

Children and staff are focusing on the continuation of skills development in all areas of the curriculum and can’t wait for the State Testing Programs to begin.

We have a number of field trips coming up and look forward to a productive finish to the school year.

Thank you! The PTA would like to thank all the families and faculty that took the time to stop and sign up for the A+ Rewards at Stop and Shop for the Quogue School. The school will be receiving over $400 from your shopping. Mr. Benson is planning something special with the funds to benefit the children directly!

New Typing Program Introduced
TypingPal Online
After much research and evaluation, the Quogue School has chosen a new typing program for the students in grades 4 through 6th. What's nice about this new program is that Typing Pal Online is a 100% web-based keyboarding tutor tailored to meet the needs of our students. This fun online keyboarding program has both classroom and home access rights for students. Students (and parents) can see how well they are doing in their lessons by logging in and clicking on the "Results" section. The Quogue PTA generously provided funding for this year's subscription, thank you! The children are enjoying the new program!
