Dear Parent(s):
This week we will begin a three week unit about bears. This week we will be
reading and learning about black bears and brown bears. We will read the
books: Bear Facts, Bears, Sleepy Bear, and Black Bear Cubs. Some of the
projects will be: retelling a story, making a book about black bears,
writing facts about bears, and completing a sequencing project about
hibernation.
In reading the shared reading is a poem called "Where Does the Wind Go?".
All children will work in guided reading groups and at workstations.
In math we will continue with subtraction.
This week's spelling packet is coming home today. It is due on Friday and
the spelling test is on Friday.
This week's homework is a bear workpage. It is due on Friday along with the
reading project.
It is a computer week.
Friday is a half day due to Parent/Teacher Conferences. Children will be
dismissed at 11:40.
