What is my child required to wear for a performance?

Students are now required to white and black. There should
be no one wearing shorts, sneakers, workboots, flipflops, or
short skirts. If your family is having a tough time getting
appropriate wear for the performance, please contact the teacher
at least one week ahead of time so she can find appropriate
footwear or clothing. All clothing should be school
appropriate.

Why does Mrs. Hobbs require a research project in general music?

I think that student have enough pressure at the end of a quarter
with final
tests, midterms, etc. I am required by the board of education to
give a
final exam. The research project serves as this exam. It also
serves as a
way to connect music with ELA and History classes in middle
school.
