***Students should have brought home a plagiarism page for parents and
students to sign so you are aware of this project.

Students who are more than one step behind will be asked to stay after school
on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays until they have caught up.

Students are working on their final test project. We have started to study
the song "We Didn't Start the Fire" by Billy Joel. We are finding out what
the song is about by researching the lyrics in the library. Students are able
to pick three topics from the year they were assigned from the song. They
need to find out at least five supporting details about each topic and place
them on individual index cards. They also must write down the resource
information on blue cards.

You cannot use wikipedia!!!!

Students will spend one day in the classroom organizing their information
onto a web diagram. It needs to be done by the end of class.

ACE: Thursday, November 12th
BDF: Thursday, November 19th***note change due to three classes missed due to
other events

Students will then write a rough draft of a report on the alpha smarts at
school. This will be due at the beginning of class on
ACE: November 20th
BDF: November 25th at the end of class

Students will then have one class period to make corrections to the rough
draft on the alpha smarts and do the work cited page. The final draft will be
due at the beginning of class on:
ACE: November 24th
BDF: December 3rd

Students need to turn in the final draft, works cited page, rough draft, web
diagram, index cards and blue cards at the end of the project. There will be
several grades given during this project.
