There are several BDF students who have not turned in their final draft of their music report. All ACE students have research wok turned in. There are several students from both classes that have never brought a plagiarism contract sheet home from school to have a parent sign and brought back. Students have a national/world wide events from 1990 to now worksheet due at the end of this week. definitions students must write down and hand in at each five week marking period. Definitions they should have written down at five weeks are marked with an *. beat: the steady pulse in music.* tempo: the speed of the beat* presto: very fast* allegro: fast or lively* moderato: moderate* andante: walking tempo* adagio: slow* largo: very slow* ritardando: to gradually slow down* accelerando: to gradually speed up* melody: the tune of the song* pitch: A specific highness or lowness of a note in a song.* non-pitch: when a note doesn't have a specific highness or lowness. step: When a note moves from a space to a line next to it or from a line to the space next to it.* leap: When a note moves from a space to another space or further or from a line to another line or further.* repeat: when a note stays on the same line or space the previous note was in.* pattern: an arrangement of shapes, sounds, colors, and events that are repeated. form: how music is organized ostinato: a repeated pattern used to hold a piece of music together. balance: when there is enough repetition in a piece of music that it helps the piece stay unified.
