Parents,
The Circle Free page is up and running. I will try to update it each week to keep you as informed as I
can. The Grade Reports page is a work in progress and I will try to get it posted this weekend. If I have
your email address I'll let you know when it's up and running.
Your child's grade in math will consist of the four quarterly averages, a midterm exam, and final exam;
that's a total of six grades that make up your child's final average. I base the quarterly grades on a
weighted total points system, where homework is approximately one-fourth and tests and quizzes
make up the other three-fourths of the average. Every assignment that I grade, this includes tests,
quizzes, and homework, is worth a certain number of points. I compare the number of points you earn
with the total number of points possible and calculate the percent.
To download a grade report for your child, click on the "Student Grade Reports" link on the left hand
side of this page. Then, just enter your child's last name and Student ID number in the spaces on the left
and you should get a current grade report. Your child's password is their six digit ID number that should
be on their current class schedule. I also sent the student ID number with the last email progress report.
If you can't find your child's Student ID number, just drop me an email and I'll send it to you.
