Top Text Title: Top Text: What is a Bibliography? The Bibliography list, or Works Cited , is a list of all the sources used in your paper, arranged alphabetically by author's last name, or when there is no author, by the first word of the title (except A, An or The). What is a Citation? A citation contains all the important information you need to find the resources, such as the title, author, publisher, city, and copyright date. These are the basic pieces of information that you would find in a Book Citation. In a citation the title of the book, magazine, Web Site, or Database is underline, italicized or in bold. A Reference source citation would include the article title and the page number the article is on. A Web Site citation includes all of that as well as the URL address and the access date. It is important to include the access date because information on the Web is always changing. You need to let the reader know when you accessed the information in case the information has changed since you accessed it. Why do we have to write a bibliography? 1. To show that we are not stealing someone's idea. 2. To show that we are being respectful. 3. To provide a list where the reader can check our resources or read the resources you used for further information. 4. Your teacher makes it a requirement or you will lose points. Links Section Title:
