Please check out the "home activities page" for ideas to use with
your child at home.
- Play "I Spy" with your child. If he/she is working on a particular
sound, choose eight items around the house that begin with that sound.
- Read a book together and have your child listen for the target
sound. He can clap, pat his leg, etc. every time he hears it.
- POOL TIME! Collect several objects and do a sink/float activity.
Have your child predict if the object will sink/float. You can talk
about heavy/light and other descriptive words.
- Collect some various household objects (pencils, spoon, fork,
papers, socks, shoes)and talk about how they are the same/different.
Seashells also work great for this activity.
- Let your child make his bed. Talk about what to do first, next,
last.
