Homework

In order to boost their reading skills, students are expected to do a tiny
amount of reading homework every night. They only need to answer TWO
questions from their take home reading each night. They are rewarded for
their work with candy or erasers. (It's their choice.)

Many of the students do more than just two questions each night because they
know that when they finish a book, they'll get to go to the "BIG" treasure
box. They also know that when they finish FIVE books, they'll get their
choice of free McDonald's treats.

When reading their book, it's best if they could read to someone older like a
parent or an older sibling. Please take the time to sit with your child and
read together. Please talk about the book with him or her, and ask each
other questions about it.

This is the BEST way to ensure that your child will become a strong reader
and a lifelong lover of books.

Happy Reading!!
