Are you available for after-school help? After-school help is available until 3 p.m., though the days vary from week to week. Please see me in advance to make an appointment for extra help; it is very difficult to accommodate 'walk-ins' Unfortunately, students who do not regularly complete their classwork/homework are not eligible for after- school help. You may find a bonus question on a quiz or test, or on this website, but do not expect to be able to use extra credit to make up for missing homework. Students who do not complete the basic requirements will never be eligible for extra credit. Why do I have to buy a spiral notebook? The spiral notebook is for class notes and vocabulary homework assignments. Vocabulary will not be accepted on loose-leaf paper. NO EXCEPTIONS! Is it true that you do not accept late homework assignments? Yes, except in the case of an absence. Is it true that I can't get any credit on homework that is incomplete? Yes. If I return a homework assignment to you marked with a 'check minus', or which says '� refaire' at the top, you must re-do the assignment, or make corrections, and turn it in on the date indicated (usually the next day) in order to receive credit. An '� refaire' means that your homework needs some 'tweaking' or 'polishing'. If you fail to turn in your do- over on the date indicated, it becomes a 'zero'. Will there be any trips this year? Trips are never guaranteed. Though typically there is a trip to Qu�bec every other year, and a trip to France in the 'off' year, there is always the possibility that extenuating circumstances will prevent me from being able to plan a trip with you. I will do my best, and keep you posted on any trip opportunities!! |
