-relate all knowledge to DBQ

Activities:

- go over 2012 DBQ- documents on Shi Huangdhi

Homework: study for essay

Do Now:  Take out a pen and begin working on essay

Objectives: (Students will be able to)

- create a regents based DBQ essay on Shi Huangdi

Activities:

- write 2012 DBQ- documents on Shi Huangdhi

Homework: Define/Identify ch 7, section 3 from vocab sheet

Aim:  What effects did Wudi have on China?

Do Now:  Who is Wudi and how did he unify China

Objectives: (Students will be able to)

- describe key effects Wudi had on China

- define centralized government

- evaluate the civil service exam

Activities:

- discussion: effects of Wudi

-discussion of Civil Service Exam

       Think, pair, share: QUESTIONS:  “What was especially new and different about this system in China?  Why did people have to study Confucianism?  Could poor people from the lower classes take the exams, and become government officials?”

Homework: FLIP: watch YOUTUBE “The Silk Road and Ancient Trade: Crash Course World History #9” by John Green. Take notes, Create a thesis with qualifiers.
