Hi everyone!
This is my 11th year of teaching, and my 6th at Sewanhaka. I taught
chemistry and biology at The Mary Louis Academy in Queens for two years, and
I taught regular and honors biology at Rising Sun High School in Maryland
for the three years before that.
I advise the Women in Science Society, and I enjoy attending Sewanhaka events
throughout the year. Let me know what you're participating in!
I have a Bachelors in Biology & Secondary Education from Gannon University in
Erie, PA, and I have a Masters in Chemical and Life Sciences from the
University of Maryland. I continue my education through various in-service
courses and conferences.
My husband and I welcomed our first baby, Jackson, on May 20, 2011. He is
pretty much my favorite person. :) I was born and raised in Monroeville,
Pennsylvania, a suburb of Pittsburgh. I am a huge Steelers fan, and I enjoy
sports in general! I also like most types of music, travelling,
and trying new restaurants.
Every student will have the opportunity to master this subject. I will
provide the instruction and extra help when needed, but the student must put
forth his or her full effort to succeed.
