December 21-23
Dear Parents,
I would like to take this opportunity to express my deepest appreciation for your spirited teamwork. Becoming a literate first grader entails multiple facets and your daily support and encouragement at home enhances the quality of your child’s education. Bravo to all of you!!! The children are making tremendous academic and social strides.
I would like to extend a special thanks to Mrs. Conti and Mrs. Roberts for visiting room 23 and sharing their family holiday traditions with us. The children enjoyed decorating gingerbread cookies and designing Christmas cards to be delivered to a local nursing home.
Our holiday party will take place on Wednesday, December 23. We’re looking forward to this enjoyable event.
I won’t be sending any formal homework assignments this week. Please continue to read nightly and review all sight words. I also ask that you replenish your child’s pencil box with a few new sharpened pencils, glue sticks, and possibly crayons.
Have a wonderful holiday season with your family and friends. Rest up, and we’ll meet again in the New Year!!!
Warmly,
Mrs. Mary McGurl
