I am on my 15th year of teaching at Nassau. Five of those years
have been in the 3rd grade and ten have been in the 4th grade (14 of which
in the same classroom that I student taught in for college.) I am
a HUGE Yankee fan and LOVE Harley-Davidson Motorcycles and the history of
Harley-Davidson.
I love to laugh and have fun and have been said to have done some crazy
things in my classroom like dance on desks, climb up the white board, swing
from the door and act really funny overall. My favorite subjects are Social
Studies and Reading. Calvin and Hobbes are my favorite characters. I kind
of see a lot of Calvin in myself. I really enjoy spending time with
children.
My wife and I have four children of our own, one of which is in 4th
grade now.
I have been teaching for 17 years, the last 10 have been at Nassau. I've
worked with students at all grade levels, but I am really enjoying 4th
grade. I love to have fun with the students in the classroom, and am known
to break into song during class. My favorite subjects are Math and Reading.
I am a NOT a Yankee fan! I prefer the Mets--You gotta believe!! When I am
not spending time with my husband, daughters and dogs, I love to curl up
with a good book!
