About The Teachers

MISS BERUBE
Miss Berube has a bachelors degree (a double major) in Biblical Literature 
and Music Education.  She obtained her master of science in music education 
degree at Western Connecticut State University. She continues her 
professional development in various venues as opportunities are presented. 

In addition to her formal studies, Miss Berube performs solo work at various 
coffee houses, churches, dinners and wherever else she has the 
opportunity to perform.  

She is also employed at a working theater in Orange County, where she has 
done back stage work as stage manager, spotlight operator, sound and 
lighting operator, as well as directing both adult and children's community 
productions.

MS. VALENTINE
Ms. Valentine received her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Texas and her 
Master of Music Education degree in Instrumental Pedagogy from the Hartt School of Music.  She 
continues to participate in professional development and post graduate coursework to continue to 
develop her knowledge.

In addition to teaching strings lessons and orchestra at both Nassau and Hagan Elementary Schools, 
Ms. Valentine performs professionally on the double bass with regional symphonies and electric bass 
with a jazz combo.

information and opportunities at home, to reinforce what is learned and 
experienced in the music classroom.
