The artist graph will direct you to the resources you need for the project. You have a hard copy with your packet.

Biographical Information

You must take notes on your artist's life and use the information to relate their life and art during your presentation. You must have evidence to support any assertion you make about how their life affected their art.

You must use the following notetaking document either electronically or on paper.

Authors and Artists for Young Adults
REF 920 AUT
Check the index in volume 62 to find which book your artist is in. Very useful biographical information.

Student Resource Center
Use SRC to obtain information about your artist's life.

Todd Library Catalog
Check the Library catalog for books on your author.

Biographical Encyclopedia of Artists
REF 709.2 BIO
Check volume 4 to find which book your artist is in. Short entries, but some useful biographical information.

Museums

Use museum websites to find artwork for your project. Remember to use museum websites rather than Google Images so you know the photo is actually the artist's work.

Guggenheim
Click the first letter of your artist's last name, then click on their name to see images.

Metropolitan Museum of Art
Enter your artist's first and last name on the Works of Art page.

MoMA
Use as last resort, it's being temperamental Click on the first letter of your artist's last name, and then click on your artist's name in the list, and then click "Search".

National Gallery
Enter your artist's last name in the search box and click the "images only" box.

Norman Rockwell Museum
View the museum slideshow for examples of Norman Rockwell's art. Choose "Collections" from the "Experience" menu then click "View Collections Slide Show".

Printing Directions: you must print out a copy of your project using the following directions.

Use the File, Print commands
In the "Print What" box, choose "Handouts"
Under the "Handouts", "Slides per page", change the number to 9.
Print to the B/W printer.
