To complete the paraphrasing unit perform the following tasks:

1.) Look at the Standard Deviants Paraphrasing Video. Take notes on the main ideas of the video without using the video's (author's) words.

2.) Read the OWL at Purdue Paraphrasing site, paying special attention to the section "6 Steps to Effective Paraphrasing". Take notes on these steps, making sure to paraphrase.

3.) Do the Paraphrasing Exercise with the following changes

• Get a number from your teacher, you will do just the passage for that number.

• Take bulleted notes on the passage, then do a paragraph paraphrase

You must hand this in at the end of the period.
