What is a homework I.O.U. ?

The homework I.O.U. is a means for a parent to be notified that
their child has missed a homework assignment. The student is
still responsible to making-up the missing assignment. They are
expected to stay the day of the missing assignment to do the
assignment. Student will call home to notify parent during lunch.
If the student doesn't stay to make up the assignment, without
making alternate arrangements prior to the end of the day, will
receive a zero for the assignment.
