Important Facts
In order to participate in the After
School Program (ASP) students
must have:

Completed registrationform with accurate
emergency contacts (Please note that these numbers will be checked for
accuracy, so be sure to notify your emergency family member that they are a
contact at the school.A relative, neighbor or friend must be within a short
distance and available to pick up your child in case of early/emergency
dismissal.)

The registration fee is $40.00 per family

All payments must be paid on the date
requested. All payments (both monthly and weekly) are to be paid the THURSDAY
before the new month or the Thursday
before the week of attendance. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS
TO THIS RULE. Teachers will be given a list every Friday of the children
who have paid for the following week, if you have not paid your child will NOT
be accepted into the program. Only pre-registered students will be permitted
to attend the ASP. Phone calls to the office will not be permitted.

In case of student illness, serious
misbehavior or toilet accident the child must be picked up immediately by the
nearest relative, neighbor or friend on the emergency card.

Program hours are Monday to Friday
2:30-6:00 sharp. First Friday and early dismissal at 12:00-6:00 sharp.

Children will be provided with a daily
snack, you may provide your child with a healthy snack, no candy and no
soda. The use of the vending machine will not be permitted.

If your child has a food allergy
you must provide your child with a snack.

Children have a daily schedule of
activities including homework time, crafts, games, and - weather permitting -
playtime in the school yard.

This is a structured program, in which
all children must participate, much planning goes into the program, it is not
a free playtime (See below ASP schedule).

On early dismissal days students must
provide their own lunch (THERE
IS NO HOT LUNCH ON FIRST FRIDAYS/EARLY DISMISSAL). They may also bring a
change of clothing for early dismissal days only.

Students may bring their own games,
cards or toys to the program. It is your child’s responsibility to care for
their belongings. The ASP will not be responsible for lost or broken items.
Video games must be charged before using. The use of outlets will not be
permitted.

The use of cell phones/cameras in
the ASP will not be permitted. If
your child needs to contact you, they will be permitted to use the After
School phone. Phone calls will be at the discretion of the staff.

The first day of After School for
grades Pre-K - 8 is September 9, 2009
-
There will be no After School
Program on December 23, 2009.
Please make the appropriate arrangements, as that is a 12:00-dismissal date.

The last day of ASP for grades Pre K
and Kindergarten is June 15, and for grades 1-8 the last day will be June 18.

St. Anthony School reserves the right to
shorten or cancel the ASP in case of any emergency closing, predicted storm,
civil disaster, flooding or facility emergency.

Your child will only be released to you
or any individual who is designated on the After School Registration Form. In
case of an emergency, a written note will be accepted and that designated
person will be asked for identification

If your child will participate in any
other after school activities during after school program hours parents must
provide written consent giving permission to a responsible adult who will sign
your child out and back in if necessary.
Fees:
Payment Method:
Complete the form located in the forms
section of this website, which will be located at the sign-out desk outside of
the After School room. If the child will attend for the entire month submit
the entire form and remit the fee indicated for the entire month. If the
child is to attend on a weekly basis, specify which days by checking off the
correct boxes and enclose the amount indicated for those days.* In either
case these forms and fees must be submitted the Thursday prior
to the week the child will attend.*
Rates:
-
$20/per day per child on regular school
day; $15 each additional sibling.

$35/per child on early dismissal day,
$25 each additional sibling.

$10/per day per child picked up promptly
by 3:30. If pick-up exceeds 3:30 by any length of time, FULL
payment of $20 is required.
Late Pickup Fee:
It is expected that each child is picked
up by 6:00 sharp. We follow the school clock and can not consistently wait
for a child to be picked up late. The late fee is $25 per 15-minute
increment starting at 6:01 PM. You will receive a late fee charge that
must be paid immediately. Failure to do so will leave us no choice but to
refuse participation in the program. Frequent late pickup will
also be cause to refuse participation in the program.
Failure to comply with the ASP Rules as
outlined above will result in refusal to admit the child into the St Anthony
School After School Program.
Conduct:
It is expected that all students
involved in the ASP show respect to the staff and care for the After School
property. All that attend must follow the discipline code for student conduct
outlined in the Parent-Student Handbook. Demerits will be issued for any
infractions. Three demerits will result in dismissal from the ASP. Younger
children may be asked to take a time-out. All children attending the ASP must
comply with the rules that have been outlined. Please re-enforce these rules
with your child/children so we may ensure the safety of all that attend the
ASP.
After School Schedule
When first entering the ASP in the gym,
all students are to sit quietly at the tables provided until attendance is
taken.
Attendance (2:30-2:45)
Snack Time (2:45-3:00) – All
students must have snack at
this time, unless they are at a special, at which time they will have snack
upon returning. Snack provided consists of milk (chocolate, low fat or
regular) and cookies.
Homework (3:00-4:00) –Children
are to complete homework assigned. If your child is finished earlier they
need to bring something they can do quietly until 4:00. The time allotted for
homework is 1 hour. It is the parent’s responsibility to check
homework for completion and corrections. Additional time will be allotted
for any child, if necessary. Also, help will be provided by the staff.
Please keep in mind it is your child’s
responsibility to complete their homework. If you choose to have your child
do their homework at home, please indicate on the attached form. However,
they will need to do something quietly until 4:00.
Crafts (4:00-4:30)
– Crafts will be provided at this time only.
Free Time (4:30-5:45) –
This includes watching a DVD, games and/or recreational activities provided by
the After School Staff. It is at the discretion of the staff to decide what
free play activities will be permitted on a given day. Children are
responsible to clean up whatever they use before being signed-out.
Use of Bathroom
– ALL STUDENTS MUST NOTIFY A STAFF MEMBER BEFORE USING THE
BATHROOM.
