Welcome to class.  Please familiarize yourself with these guidelines. They
are meant to facilitate your learning and help you to be successful in class.
If you have any questions, please ask.  Good luck in this school year. 

1.  Avoid absences, your class time is important.  If you are absent, you are
    responsible for the day's work and homework assignment. Please get the
    telephone number of a responsible classmate that you can call.

2.  Attendance is taken every day. Any absence without a legitimate excuse
    is a cut. The student will receive a zero for any test or assignment 
    given on that day.

3.  Be on time for class.  Students who come late to class will only be
    admitted with a pass.  Personal needs should be taken care of before
    or after class.

4.  Come to class prepared with your textbook, notebook, pens, pencils and
    homework.

5.  Be in your assigned seat with notebooks open, ready to work, when the
    bell rings.

6.  Be respectful at all times.  Raise your hand and wait to be called on
    when you wish to speak.

7.  All homework is to be neatly done in the back of your notebook. Students
    will receive a zero for each missing or unsatisfactory homework.

8.  Your grade will be based on class tests, quizzes, homework assignments
    and class participation (refer to student agenda book).

9.  If caught cheating on a test, quiz or assignment the student will receive
    a zero and your parent will be contacted.
