Ms Capifali is the Facilitator of the Physical and Health Education
Department. She is the Head Coach of the SCA Varsity Basketball Team, which
was undefeated in the CHSAA League for 2005-2006. In 2006-2007 the Varsity
ended their season 15-2 while capturing their League and Division Title. Ms
Capifali moderates the JV Basketball, who also captured their League Title in
2005-2006 and in 2006-2007. The Varsity Team record for 2008-2009 was 11-8
She also moderates the Tennis Club, Ski Club, and runs the Intramural
Program, which involves the following sports: Flag Football, Volleyball,
Basketball, Bowling and Floor Hockey. Teams who place First, Second or Third
Place in these sport tournaments receive trophies. Intramural Sports are
opened to any SCA students.
During the Spring and Summer time Ms. Capifali participates on two USTA
Tennis Leagues in Westchester. She plays first doubles for both The Masters
and Grand Master teams which won their Regional and Sectional Championship.
Her Grand Master team captured the National Championship last year in Mobile
Alabama and have just qualified again for this year's Nationals to be held in
Surprise, Arizona in April of '09. Her Masters Team will be participating in
their Sectional Tournament on September 12-14 of this year in upstate NY. If
they win they will be headed to Las Vegas, Nevada for the Nationals on
October 31st to November 3rd of this year.
