National Junior Honor Society

The St. Dominic Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society is dedicated to upholding the highest academic standards set out by the governing body of the National Junior Honor Society. All seventh and eighth grade students who meet the requirements set out by the Faculty Committee at St. Dominic are eligible to join the society. We will be having an induction ceremony following the first report card. The requirements are as follows:

The student must receive an A in: Math, Science, English, Social Studies, Spanish, Religion and Literature; a B or better is required in Gym, Art and Computer. **New for 2007-2008 if a Student in Math A meets all the requirements and has a B average in Math A, they can be recommended for application to the Honor Society by Mrs. Grehan.**

Upcoming Events:

We will begin a recycling program in the Cafeteria this year, look for specially marked blue bins to deposit your cans and bottles.

Induction Ceremony has been moved to March 18th.

Drug Free Week is April 7th-11th. There will be information sent home about daily activities dedicated to keeping our students aware about the dangers of drugs and the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
