Fish
The 3rd and 4th graders have been
working on three foot figures of
people and fish. Using their
imagination and materials of
their choice, the children have
made the figures "What I will be
when I am a teenager or older."
We have lifeguards, sports
figures, etc.
The fish have been decorated with
markers, oil pastels and
patterned paper. The childrem
are very excited with the results
of their work and can't wait to
take them home. |

Fall
Leaves were the focal point of
the kindergarten through 8th
grade projects this month. From
simply cutting and coloring large
and small leaves and gluing them
to a surface to make a door
hanger or a poster, we
used differnt techniques and
materials in our work.
We mixed the red and yellow for
our orange,the blue and yellow
for our green, and the red yellow
and blue for shades of brown.
We used oil pastels, colored
paper, watercolors, watercolor
pencils, and we used color
diffusing paper. Some of the
children drew trees and sponge
painted the leaves, while others
used tempra paint.
There are some beautiful examples
on display on the bulletin board
outside of the art room. |
