Hello Everyone,
We have been learning many facts about butterflies and moths, their
similarities and differences. We released the butterflies on Friday and
watched them soar. It was a beautiful day for having a picnic snack and
recess on the playground, too.
Our chicken eggs have arrived , thanks to Lisa and Katie Sproul. The
eggs will incubate for about 21 days before the chicks are ready to hatch.
Keep your fingers crossed that all goes well. This is an exciting (but
somewhat stressful) project for me to do with the children.
Our field trip to The Strong Museum of Play on May 11th was a great success.
Thanks to all who volunteered to chaperone that day.
I know all of you are very busy, too. Enjoy all of the activities you and

FIRST GRADE ENCORE SCHEDULE 2011/2012:
Monday: Music and Technology
Tuesday: Physical Education, Library for half of the class, and Spanish
Wednesday: Library for half of the class and Music
Thursday: Physical Education and Art
Friday: Liturgical Music and Character Education
There could be changes made to this schedule, but for now this is what our
schedule looks like. As always, we reinforce all of the skills and concepts
that are covered in the encore classes.
