Welcome
Welcome to our school! We are pleased to share our mission of educating the whole child with the greater learning community. As team members, the parents, grandparents, family members, parish members, faculty, staff and administrators work hand-in-hand to guide and direct our students. We know that our greatest challenge is to develop students who hold excellence as their goal and standard in academic performance, civic leadership and the spiritual life. Our students know that for them, we have high expectations, and they strive to meet and exceed our expectations. Together we can create a learning environment that challenges each child to take their place as the leaders of tomorrow rooted in a strong faith, guided by sure and dependable knowledge and equipped to make clear choices resulting in their success. We welcome the involvement of all members of the community and recognize that it is an honor to work side-by-side in the education of all of our students.

Greetings from the Headmaster
Summer 2010
Regarding: Blessed Summer Rest
Dear Parents, Grandparents, Graduates of 2010, Students and Friends:
Welcome to summer vacation. All of us here at SMDS hope that you have a wonderful summer filled with rest, relaxation and learning. Students, please remember that reading is your key to success and the more you practice - reading books that are just beyond your comfort level - the greater your fluency and comprehension. To quote Mr. Smith, "Read while you wait, while you wait, read!" Please read at least 10 books over the summer and come back to school with a list to share with your new teacher.
The Lord has promised us that in quietness and calm we will find His Spirit. Rest in the love of the Lord over the summer. Remember to pray for each other and for all the members of the great parish community. God bless you.
The office will be open each day during the summer from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday - closed for national holidys - and you may visit and register for summer school camp and the coming year at your convenience. We all look forward to seeing you all of you again in the early part of September and a good number of you at summer school and camp.
Cordially
Fr. Bramble, Fr. Armstrong, Mr. Smith and Ms. Forbes
