Process

The time has come for you to gather all your information and create your
book.

Step one: Each page of your book should be devoted to one letter of the
alphabet. How big a page depends entirely on how creative you wish to be.
You may use standard size construction paper or you may use 11x17. You may
want to go bigger. Remember originality is the key.

Step Two: For each letter I would like to see one to three pictures of
people, places and things unique to New York. Text should accompany each
picture. Keep in mind your target audience. Text should be clear and
concise. It should not be longer then three sentences.

Step Three: In presenting your work make sure it is bold, colorful, and
vivid.

Step Four: You may use colored pencils, markers, watercolors, poster
paints...
anything as long as you keep it neat, bold, colorful and vivid.

Step Five: You may type or handwrite your book. Again, remember your
audience. KEEP IT BCV: BOLD, COLORFUL, VIVID. This work is an extension of
you.

******** If you wish you may draw the pictures you are going to use
instead of cutting and pasting. If this is the case please remember no
stick figures. while I do not wish to rain on your artistic visions please
remember you are being graded on this. Stick figures will not make the cut.

********** An example of how text might appear would be to have picture of
a beach with the text simply stating "R is for Rockaway Beach where the
waves are wild and the fun is neverending."
