The students will be using standards from Social Studies and Language Arts
and the Arts.
Social Studies Key Idea 2:
Students will gather and organize geographic
information from a variety of sources and display in a number of ways.
Language Arts Standard 1:
Students will read, write, listen and speak for
information and understanding.
Key Idea # 2 : as speakers and writers students will use oral and written
language to acquire, interpret, apply and transmit information.
The Arts
Standard 1:
Students will actively engage in the process that
constitute the creation and performance in the arts(visual) and participate
in various roles in the arts.
Key Idea 1 :
Students will make works of art that explore different
kinds of subject matter, topics, themes and metaphors. Students will
understand and use sensory elements, organiztional principles and expressive
images to communicate their own ideas in works of art.
Students will use a variety of mediums, techniques and use appropriate
technologies for creating and exhibiting visual art works.
