GLOBAL 9H:

11/25: Read Chp. 5 Sec. 3: Take notes on the outline provided. 
11/24:  Read Hand-out "A Model for the Whole of Greece" and "Spartan 
Education." Answer all questions fully and create a Venn Diagram comparing 
Athens and Sparta.

11/23: Chp 5 Sec. 2 Read and answer questions #2-8.
11/19: Per.1 - Chp 5 Sec. 2: pgs 127-128. Notes on Gov't in Greece and Athens.
       Per.7 - Read pgs. 127 and 128 and take notes. I forgot to assign in 
class so it will be due on Monday instead.

11/18: Write: "What can we learn about Greek values and beliefs from the 
Iliad?"
11/17: Chp 5 Sec. 1 - The Greeks "Geography"
11/16: Chp. 4 Sec. 3 Persians
 
GLOBAL 9R:

11/19: Study for Quiz on terms from this week's notes on Ancient Greece.
11/18: Compare Chinese geography to Greek geography.
11/17: Finish reading the excerpt from The Iliad.  Write one paragraph of at 
least 10 sentences that answers the following question:
       What can we learn about Greek values, culture and religious beliefs 
from The Iliad?  
        Be sure to provide specific examples from the text to support your 
answer.

11/13: Read Chp. 5 Sec. 1 and Take Notes on the Chart provided.
        NO notes permitted in class.  You must prepare well.

11/20: Chp 9 #4 HW due Monday (actually Chp 10 - Era of Good Feeling)
       Chp. 10 HW #1 Due Tuesday  24th
       Chp. 10 HW #2 due Wednesday 25th
       DBQ on War of 1812 - due Monday Nov. 30th.
       Chp. 11 HW#1 Due Thursday - Dec. 3rd.

11/19: Read Chapter on "The Duel" from Founding Brothers
       Chp. 9 #4 HW due Monday
        
 

11/16: Read Jefferson's 1st Inaugural Address: Using your textbook notes, 
determine whether or not Jefferson lived up to the promises made in his 
address. Be prepared to discuss this in class.

11/13  READ and OUTLINE CHP. 9. DUE MONDAY.  Questions will be provided on 
Monday.
