Alternate Interior Angles - is a pair of nonadjacent angles that are both
inside the parallel lines and on opposite sides
                            of the transversal
Alternate Exterior Angles - is a pair of nonadjacent angles that are both
outside the parallel lines and on opposite sides

Congruent Angles - have the same measure
Corresponding Angles - are a a pair of nonadjacent angles (one is on the
inside of the parallel lines and one is one the
outside of the parallel lines) that are both on the
                       same side of the transversal

Discount - is an amount taken off the regular price of an item

Evaulate - means to find the numerical value of an expression
Exterior Angles - are a pair of nonadjacent angles, both outside the parallel
lines and on the same side of the transversal

Inequality - a mathematical sentence that contains <, >, greater than or
equal to, less than or equal to or not equal to
Interest - is the amount of money paid or earned for the use of money
Interior Angles - is a pair of nonadjacent angles that are both on the same
side of the transversal and inside the parallel lines
Intersecting Lines - cross each other at only one point

Legs - the 2 shorter sides, which form the right angle
Linear Equation - the graph of this is a straight line

Monomial - a number, a variable, or a product of a number and one or more
           variables

Nonlinear Equation - the graph of this is not a straight line

                    original amount
Polynomial - the sum or difference of one or more monomials
Principal - is the intial amount borrowed or invested
Proportion - is when 2 equivalent ratios are set equal to each other
Pythagorean Theorem - in any right triangle, the square of the length of the
hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the
                      lengths of the legs

Ratio - is a comparison of 2 numbers using division

Sales Tax - is an amount paid to thhe city and state
Scale - is determined by the ratio of a given length on a drawing or model to
        its corresponding actual lengths
