INDEPENDENT BOOK PROJECTS
2nd Marking Period
During the 2nd marking period you are expected to complete 2 book responses.
1 of your book responses will be on STORY ELEMENTS sheets. You may choose
from the PLOT or CHARACTERIZATION handout.
1 of your book responses will be your choice. You are to choose 1 of the
responses listed below. Detailed instructions on how to complete each
response is located in the back of the room.
1. Write a LETTER TO THE AUTHOR expressing your feelings about the novel.
2. Create a “BEFORE & AFTER “ CHART tracing the changes of the main
character.
3. Write a JOURNAL entry from a character’s point of view.
4. Write a BOOK REVIEW of your novel for your classmates.
5. Create an ALBUM OF CHARACTERS that describes two characters from the
novel.
*** Remember to take a handout with the detailed instructions for each
project!!!!
