What textbook is used in 7th grade Life Science?

Scientists must be excellent communicators and therefore reading, writing,
and speaking are integral parts of the Life Science curriculum. Life Science
is a heavy "content" science as opposed to a heavy math science such as
physics therefore reading is the most necessary skill for the biologist.
There are two texts used in 7th grade Life Science - Globe Fearon "Concepts
and Challenges" and Houghton Mifflin "Life Science." Textbooks are assigned
based upon student reading levels.

Do students need to bring their textbooks to class?

Textbooks are generally distributed within the first 2 weeks of the school
year. Textbooks are to be brought home and to be kept home for the entire
school year. Textbooks are NEVER used in the life science classroom. We learn
life science by doing life science (not by reading about life science.)
