4th Grade State Asssessment Information and 2009-10 Test Dates

ELA/English Language Arts Test - April 26-28, 2010
Math - May 5-7, 2010
Science - Between May 25 - June 3, 2010 to be scheduled by the District
The ELA test is given over three days. The first day, Session 1, students
take a 28 question multiple choice test. The second day, Session 2,
students listen to a passage, take notes, and write short responses.
Students will also complete an extended response based on the listening
selection. The third day, Session 3, students read two passages and write
short answer responses. In addition, students will write a long response
using both passages.
The Math test is given over three days. The first day, Session 1, students
take a 35 questions multiple choice test. For days two and three, Session 2
& 3, students answer questions showing their work or explaining how they
solved the problem.
The Science test is a two day test. The first day is a multiple
choice test that includes short and extended responses. The second day is a
hands-on manipulative test, in which
students complete 3 stations.
All of the state tests have to be completed within time limits.
