6th graders in my general music classes have been working on two 
very fun aspects of our music curriculum!  One is learning to play 
the conga drum, and the other is playing the recorder!  Students 
have recently written their own short compositions to be played on 
their recorders, which will equal two test grades.  We are now 
moving on to learning even more new notes so we can play even more 
exciting pieces of music!
