Parent/Teacher COMMUNICATION

NEED TO COMMUNICATE?

Hello,
Being able to communicate with parents is such an important ingredient in the recipe for a child's success in school.
    1. One way we attempt to stay connected to you is through your child's planner.
If you're not an emailer, then this is the most effective way to get in touch with me.  You can jot me a note in the planner, BUT... your child needs to make sure that I see the note!
    2.  The planner needs to be signed EVERY DAY, even on Fridays.  DO NOT SIGN IT until you've seen the work. If your child can't finish the work for any valid reason, please...send in a note and we'll work it out.
    3. EMAILS ARE MY PREFERRED METHOD OF COMMUNICATION!! Click on the e-mail link at the top of the page. I will get back to you as soon as possible.

********* DON'T FORGET TO SIGN UP FOR NEWSFLASH!!! *********
One of the icons on my home page is a school house. If you click on this, it will take you to the Van Wyck Home Page. There you'll
find many interesting links related to the Van Wyck community and the Wappingers Central School District.
           4. Another way to reach me is by phone. THIS, BELIEVE IT OR NOT, IS THE LEAST EFFECTIVE WAY
TO LET ME KNOW YOU WANT TO COMMUNICATE!!!
The school telephone number is 227-1700. Please leave a message with the secretary at the front desk. I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
It's very difficult for me to return calls in the evening so let me know where I can reach you DURING THE DAY between:
(TO BE DETERMINED.... WILL POST SHORTLY)
Needless to say, my ability to return calls will depend on my not being diverted by circumstances beyond my control. I appreciate that you
understand this. I will always do my best to get to you asap. Previously scheduled meetings, etc., may cause
some delay, but I'm committed to getting back to you.
I'm looking forward to staying connected!!!
Mr. L. Glaser :-)
