- Draft an answer to this question for HW. It is the response question for Thursday's selection test on All-American Slurp.
- Pick ONE of the following events.
- When the narrator tries on jeans and a T-shirt at Meg's house, she thinks she looks more American.
- At the Lakeview Restaurant, the harpist stops playing, and the Lin's slurping becomes extremely loud. The narrator hides out in the bathroom for the rest of the meal.
- *Explain what these events tell you about the personality of the narrator. Think about the narrator's cultural background and how that experience is affecting her 'transition' to American life.
- *PREDICT what you think this author's life will be like. Do you think she'll stay in Amercia, or do you think she'll go back to China once she becmes an adult. EXPLAIN your opinion.
