I am very excited to be sharing the year with your children. I have been
teaching for many years. I have taught first grade, English as a Second
Language, Health Education and Study Skills. Yet teaching sixth grade
Social Studies and ELA has been my favorite job ever.
I am a big sports enthusiast, and love the NY Giants and NY Yankees. Yet
soccer still remains my passion. I coach the Van Wyck Girls Soccer team,
the John Jay HS Girls JV Soccer team, an East Hudson Academy soccer team and
a boys premier soccer team. I still play soccer and softball in women's
leagues, as well. You're never too old to have fun!!
I am happily married and a proud mother of four children, all of whom have
been students here at Van Wyck Junior High School. This is a terrific
school!!
I have two cuddly dogs named Cocoa and Penny. I LOVE ice-cream!!!
Well, enough about me. I hope your children enjoy spending the year on
Team 6E.
